The Shoe: André

A trailer for a new short film by André Saraiva, the Parisian street artist. It stars Leo Fitzpatrick (from Larry Clark's Kids, and more recently The Wire) wearing J M Westor shoes in a nouvelle vague tinted Paris. I love the Pink Panther style title sequence with Andre's moniker dancing about and the soundtrack by French label Kitsuné.

BLU + DAVID ELLIS

Bruce Davidson: New York Subway

Between 1980-1986 American photographer Bruce Davidson recorded the grimy, graffiti-drenched subway of New York and it's colourful, diverse characters. Photographing outsiders is a theme through his work. previously documenting the civil rights movement trail and capturing aspects of New York City: the ghetto of East Harlem in the 60s (100th East Street), Jewish cafeterias, and Central Park in the 90s. One of his photographs can be on Beastie Boys Ill Communication.
