Nike Air MAG
Remember the Nikes that Marty McFly wore in Back To The Future II? Those in the know have been speculating the release of these for a while. A special invitation from Nike was sent to a select number of folk, in the form of a black acrylic box with these and a cryptic invite inside stating "It's about time". In 2008 Nike released these hyperdunks but judging from this video these are probably much closer to the real deal.

Rodarte SS11
Everything about this short film is quite stunning. Directed by Todd Cole, it features Elle Fanning clad in Rodarte SS11 collection and a soundtrack by Deerhunter. It's set in the Baldwin Hills, California. The house itself was built in the oilfields in 1896.

The Shoe: André
A trailer for a new short film by André Saraiva, the Parisian street artist. It stars Leo Fitzpatrick (from Larry Clark's Kids, and more recently The Wire) wearing J M Westor shoes in a nouvelle vague tinted Paris. I love the Pink Panther style title sequence with Andre's moniker dancing about and the soundtrack by French label Kitsuné.

Beautiful Losers
Finally got to watch this yesterday at the ICA. I most certainly wasn't disappointed, it's great. In the early 1990's a loose-knit group of like-minded outsiders found common ground at a little NYC storefront gallery. Rooted in the DIY (do-it-yourself) subcultures of skateboarding, surf, punk, hip hop & graffiti, they made art that reflected the lifestyles they led. I wouldn't say its an art documentary, or a skateboarding documentary i'm not really sure what it is. I really love the quirky things like Mike Mills interviewing in suit and Harmony Korine in a city park telling a small child his friend got his head cut off. I'm a bit in love with Barry McGee.
