Herman Miller 

Herman Miller have set up this beautiful, temporary showroom in Soho, New York which pays homage to the company’s Director of Design from 1945 to 1972, George Nelson. You will find other design classics by Charles & Ray Eames, Alexander Girard and Isamu Noguchi.

Homeplus Virtual Store

South Korea's second largest supermarket chain Homeplus (owned by British retailer Tesco) create an interactive shopping experience using the Seoul subway billboards. Commuters can browse the subway wall 'aisles' and purchase products by scanning the corresponding QR code with their smartphone. The goods can then be ordered to be conveniently delivered to an address for the same day.

Out of the Box

Gestalten launches a new book on brand experience this month. A great mix of small, temporary and flagship stores that evoke a memorable experience and emotion from the consumer. Here are some of my favourite retail spaces (I'm sure there are plenty more) featured in the book.

Artek kitted "Nothing Happens For A Reason" cafe and installation in Turku (as seen on front cover), Aesop pop-up in Paris shop Merci, Capellini and OHWOW flagship space in New York, Chocolate Research Facility in Singapore.
