I'm just back from a couple of days in London, after a very unsuccessful interview. Amongst my travels, I came across the exhibition at The Cosh gallery in Soho called Now Showing: Exploring the lost "art" of the film poster. Over 40 artists/ collectives contributed their interpretation of a classic, cult, obscure film poster. This features James Joyce, Nathan Fox, Eine, Seripop. My favourites (above) are Scarface by Mr Ian Wright, the buttons compose Al Pacino's face and Non-format/Hellovon for Planet of the Apes.
On Tuesday Edwyn Collins was back on form playing at a some sort of exhibition launch at Pure Groove. "Artwork" by Alex Kapranos, The Cribs Irvine Welsh amongst others.
